Background: Locally known Chef Kyo Koo opened a new restaurant in Portland, Warsugai. Business was slow at first, and media pick up was challenging, as the restaurant opened before working with our agency. However, influencers who were already familiar with the chef were eager to try the new restaurant and helped create momentum in the campaign. 

 

Execution: We worked with the owner and chef to develop a social media strategy and influencer marketing plan that leveraged local food influencers brought in over a short period of time. This helped to create a quick buzz about the restaurant to increase the frequency at which locals were hearing about the restaurant in an engaging and authentic way. In an interview with Portland Monthly The Korean Mama (@thekoreanmama) even told Portland Monthly that Warsugai was her favorite new Portland restaurant.
